Adorning the cliff tops of Tintagel are the ruins of Tintagel Castle, which also dates back from the 13th Century. Some historians beleive that this was the birth place of King Arthur. A cave nearby, known as 'Merlins Cave' was named after the Wizard Merlin, who in historical records had no connection whatsoever to King Arthur himself. Indeed, Tintagel has lots of legends to take in as well as iconic places of interest to visit, along with the rugged setting of the Cornish coast and Countryside.
